Charles Norris was the Waterfront Planner for the preparation of a master plan to expand a new high speed commuter ferry system and Project Manager for the design of a new terminal facility to revitalize the Bayshore waterfront. The project identified new terminal sites with routes connecting to lower and midtown Manhattan. The completion of the first phase $19M Belford Terminal included environmental restoration, channel & harbor modifications, a new ferry terminal with parking, and improved pedestrian & vehicular access. Phase 2 will include expanded fishing fleet berthing & support facilities and a new interpretive center with recreational resources. The project was conducted in collaboration with TAMS for Monmouth County and NJ DOT.
