Waterfront planning for a new industrial maritime and cruise ship port terminal at the existing State Pier in Fall River. N & N developed the watersheet and maritime components of the comprehensive master plan with Cambridge Seven Associates and Bourne Consulting Engineering for MA DCAM. Adjacent to Battleship Cove and Heritage State Park, the project will provide a working waterfront facility with port security as well as a prominent civic amenity. The intermodal port terminal will provide facilities for container and bulk cargo handling, short-sea shipping, a fishing fleet, and small cruise ships, as well as public amenities for the City of Fall River. N & N provided site analysis, design guidelines, concept design alternatives, and a consensus design plan.
